2018 GCSE and A-Level exam results

Success on results day

This year we have received some fantastic news of results from our GCSE and A-Level students. Here at the Marlow Language Centre we provide bespoke tuition and booster courses for students of all different ages and levels studying for their school exams, and it is always wonderful to hear that their hard work has paid off on results day.

“Thank you so much for helping me achieve an A in Spanish! The commitment and hard work of your tutors helped me so much with the language – cannot thank you enough!”

Feedback

Every single one of our students achieved a passing grade, greater or equal to their predicted grade, with multiple A*’s at A-Level and 9’s at GCSE. Here are the results we received back from our students:

We also collected some feedback from our students following their exams to ask how they got on and what they thought of the tuition. We are proud to say that all our students enjoyed their courses and would recommend the lessons to their friends.

One of our students, after a challenging mock exam, was recommended by his teacher at school to take the foundation level of his GCSE Spanish. This would mean the maximum grade he could achieve would be a 5 (C). However, after coming to us and meeting one of our language learning specialists, we advised that he take the higher tier and after lots of hard work from him and our team, he was delighted to receive a 7 (A) in his final exam! This is just one of many happy students who came away with grades far exceeding their target grades.

“Thanks for everything it definitely helped me achieve higher grades than predicted!”

Our approach

The reason our students are so successful is due to our unique approach to GCSE and A-Level exam preparation. We operate bespoke 1 to 1 courses that allow our native speaking teachers to focus on the individual needs of a student. Due to the nature of a classroom environment at school, individual students can be overlooked and not given the level of attention necessary for them to reach their full potential. Face to face contact with a single teacher at the MLC allows them to increase their confidence in speaking and listening, boost vocabulary, and focus on grammar points they may find tricky, while reinforcing elements of the course they already have a grasp on. All our teachers are familiar with all UK exam boards including OCR, Edexcel and more, and ensure the student not only makes progress but also enjoys learning the language.

If you would like to book your son or daughter in for a trial class with one of our native language teachers, why not contact us?
