Marlow is a traditional English town with a population of around 17,500 people, where you will find yourself completely surrounded by English people and the English Language in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Although only 1 hour from London, Marlow is a picturesque town on the banks of the river Thames. Not only is it one of the most beautiful towns in the south of England, parts of it also date back to the 14th Century. There are many historic sites, as well as a vibrant high street, full of pubs, cafes and restaurants. Marlow was home to many famous poets including John Keats, P.B. Shelley and T.S. Eliot. Most people have heard of Frankenstein, one of the greatest horror stories ever written, but probably do not know that the story itself was written in Marlow by Shelley’s wife, Mary.
Marlow is 1 hour west of London, 20 minutes from London Heathrow, and close to Windsor, Oxford and Henley-On thames. With excellent transport links to all these areas.
